PayMe is an Australian family-owned and operated, veteran-owned business that has been supporting Australian contractors and recruitment businesses for 20 years.
Founded in 2006 by people who had experienced contracting firsthand, PayMe was created from a genuine understanding of what contractors need from their payroll provider.
Our founders knew the opportunities and flexibility that contracting could provide, but they also understood the frustrations — managing payroll and administration, navigating superannuation and expenses, and planning financially for leave or the inevitable gaps that can occur between contracts.
They recognised that contractors needed more than a business that simply processed a timesheet and transferred money into a bank account. They needed a payroll partner that understood contracting from the contractor's perspective.
That understanding became the foundation of PayMe — and 20 years later, it remains at the heart of what we do.

Since 2006, PayMe has grown and evolved alongside Australia's contracting industry. Over two decades, the way Australians work, the technology behind payroll and the regulatory environment have all changed significantly. PayMe has continued to evolve with them, expanding our services and developing new ways to support contractors throughout their engagements.

Because PayMe was founded by contractors, the contractor experience has always been central to the way we operate.
We understand that every contractor is different. Some want payroll to be as simple as possible: submit a timesheet, get paid accurately and get on with their work.
Others want to make more of their payroll arrangement through salary sacrificing, salary packaging, novated leasing, managing superannuation contributions, banking income for future leave or accessing additional contractor benefits.

More than a payroll processor
PayMe has never wanted to be a business that simply processes a timesheet and sends a payslip. Our goal is to provide a complete contractor payroll and support service.
That means helping contractors understand the options available to them and providing access to services that can make contracting easier and more rewarding.
Depending on individual circumstances, this can include salary sacrificing and salary packaging, novated leasing, superannuation contribution management, BankIT for setting aside income for leave or gaps between contracts, corporate partnerships and other contractor benefits.
