How PayMe contractor payroll works
PayMe runs the payroll behind contract placements. Your recruitment company remains your employer; we handle your pay, superannuation, salary packaging and the paperwork that sits behind it. Most contractors are payroll ready on the same business day their contract reaches us.
How it works
Three steps, often finished in one business day
- 01
Complete the join form
Tell us who you are and which recruitment company placed you. It takes a few minutes and you only do it once.
- 02
Your contract is shared
We liaise directly with your recruitment company for your contract. They remain your employer — we simply run the payroll behind it.
- 03
Payroll onboarding, same business day
You receive login details to our payroll software to submit your tax file declaration, super choice and bank details electronically. Then you're payroll ready.
Same day
Payroll onboarding once your contract arrives
1.75%
Standard payroll fee, with discounted rates available through some recruitment-company arrangements — includes eligible salary sacrificing and fee-free novated leasing
12%
Super Guarantee calculated and paid with every pay
Insurances / Compliance
Professional indemnity, public liability and workers compensation cover included where applicable
1:1
A named payroll contact, not a ticket queue
What happens after
Once you're onboarded you have a named payroll contact rather than a ticket queue. Timesheets go on our online portal, to our timesheets inbox, or through your recruitment company's own system where they have one, and your pay cycle follows the arrangement between PayMe and that company. We email you a draft payslip to review before your payment is processed and a final payslip once it has been paid, and your payslips are available to download from the Contractor Portal at any time.
